Herbert Eugene Trenner

Herbert Eugene Trenner went to be with the Lord August 9, 2011, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.  He was born August 24, 1932 in Ava, OH. Herb served in the Army during the Korean War & was stationed in Fort Hood, TX in the 1st Armored Division.  After his discharge he purchased land in Pleasant City, OH and built the Pleasant Treat Drive-in that he & his family operated for 10 yrs.  After selling, he built an Ice Cream Parlor & Antique Shop in Byesville, OH, which he sold after 3 yrs.  He then sold cars for Tom Ferguson in Caldwell.  The decision to move to Texas for his wife’s health, was a big one as they both loved Ohio & returned every year except 2.  Herb retired from Kroger’s along with his wife.  He enjoyed woodworking, antiques, fishing, traveling to England (to visit his nephews), Scotland, Wales & many places in the U.S. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ancil & Lola;  sister; Ruth;  brothers, Robert and Raymond, and.  His only son; Brent, passed away 3 yrs earlier.  He is survived by his wife of 58 yrs, Margaret (Rogers) Trenner;  daughters, Becky Colwell & Beth Trenner of Ft. Worth; Grand Children; Cody (Karen) Colwell & Kelly Colwell; Great Grand Children, McKenzie & Mason Colwell. Memorial Service was held on August 20th at the Forest Park Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, TX.  Herb was a member of the Methodist Church in Ava, OH.
