Howard E. Kessler

BURLESON — Howard E. Kessler, 88, went to his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 9, 2014.       Funeral: 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment: Burleson Memorial Cemetery.       Howard was born to Nelson and Mary Kessler on June 11, 1925 in Milville, Pennsylvania. Howard retired as supervisor at Glass Container Corporation, Palestine, Texas.       Howard was Associate Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Palestine for 25 years. He served 6 years as president of the Palestine Public School Board.       He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Mary Kessler and brothers, Herman and Harold.       Survivors: Bess his wife of 34 years; sons, Don Coontz and wife Cecilia, David Coontz and wife Tracey and John Derrick Coontz and wife Rhonda; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
