Cleburne–Funeral services for J. C. Collins, 87, of Cleburne, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2003, at the Field Street Baptist Church, Cleburne, Texas. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2003 at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home, of Cleburne. J. C. Collins, a retired merchandise manager, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2003 as the result of a car accident. He was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky, October 26, 1916 to J.T. and Sara Coppock Collins. He worked for Dillon Company, Inc. in Kansas for forty-one years. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during WW II, receiving the Bronze Star with three bronze leaves. He married Louise Michael, who preceded him in death in 1963. He married Marie Fisher Teague, September 1, 1967. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church. He had previously served as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Whitney and was
