Jack R. Brand

Alvarado:Jack R. Brand, a retired police officer, 77, of Alvarado, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2004, in Fort Worth. Services for Mr. Brand will be held on Friday, at 10:00 AM at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, of Cleburne, with Rev. Weldon Coble officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield. Mr. Brand was born January 8, 1927, in Hillsboro, Texas, the son of James and Lillian Thompson Brand. He married Louise Couch, September 18, 1947, in Alvarado. He is survived by his wife, Louise Brand, of Alvarado; daughters, Fran Brown and husband, Larry, of Rendon, Pamela Brown, of Alvarado and Doris Thomas and husband, Roy, of Azle. Nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; brother, William Brand and one sister, Joyce Whitehead and husband, Jimmy. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert “Sonny” Brand, in 1966.
