James Alfred Brown

ALVARADO — James Alfred Brown, 77, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at his home. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials: May be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in James’ memory. James was born in Direct to Les and Lucy Brown on April 11, 1935. He married Betty Frances Carmon in Paris, Texas, in 1954. He greatly enjoyed baseball and operated Brown’s Barber Shop on Mansfield Highway for 40 years. Survivors: His loving wife of 58 years, Betty Carmon Brown; children, Angie Brown Boyd and Cheri Brown Nelson; grandchildren, Brent Boyd, Michael Nelson, Kylie Boyd Roach, Lacey Nelson Tollison and Scott Boyd; and six great-grandchildren.
