James “Big Daddy Jim” Prater

James “Big Daddy Jim” Prater,73 of Alvarado, went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 9,2021. Jim was born on November 16,1948 to Charlie and Eva Prater in Fort Worth, Texas. Jim was an accomplished welder, hunter, fisherman and heavy equipment operator. He retired from Johnson County. He was a loving father to all and will be missed by many. Jim is proceeded in death by his parents, daughter Tracie, sister Jan Thomas and Sandra Geeo. He is survived by his wife Kathy, brother, sons, daughters, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many close friends.
