He remained in close contact throughout his life with college friends Carolyn, Charlotte, Cindy, Charles, Doris, Ginny, Jane, Judy, and Tom.
Supporting the arts was important to James and he loved attending concerts and productions at various venues in Dallas, New York and other cities as he traveled throughout the world. He spent many hours in his backyard studio creating beautiful fiber art through weaving, knitting, and needlepointing. James loved volunteering, and for over 20 years was honored to serve as a food judge in the Creative Arts Competition at the State Fair of Texas. With his quirky sense of humor, James was especially excited to judge the Spam competition!
James owned a bookkeeping business for many years, and for him it was another opportunity to open his heart to new friends. People from all aspects of his life were drawn to him, and James had a large circle of loyal friends who will hold precious memories of his kindness, generosity, sense of humor and enthusiasm for life.
Pets were an important part of James’ life, and the Schnauzer Rescue of Texas was his favorite place from which to adopt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Schnauzer Rescue of Texas at https://schnauzerrescuetexas.me or to the SPCA of Texas (Dallas) at https://www.spca.org.
