Jason E. Brand passed away on February 14, 2021 after fighting an aggressive 36 day battle with COVID. He was born on May 29, 1971 in Baxter Springs, Kansas. Jason graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1989 then attended OSU Okmulgee Tech for Diesel Technology. He had a lifelong career in Diesel Mechanics starting at Tulsa Transit and continuing his passion at Tulsa Technology Center, Wonder Bread, and was currently working at Cummins, Inc. in Arlington, Texas. He was a part of starting, owning, and running Brand New Pool Service since 2016. On November 17, 1997, he married Zora Beth Woods. Together, they had three amazingly insane children: Kayla (22), Kyle (20), and Megan (19). They all lived in Cleveland, Oklahoma until they moved to Midlothian, Texas in 2005. Jason’s first priority in life was loving, laughing, and playing with his family. He shared his love of music with his family although almost no one could beat him at music trivia. He also enjoyed anything that went fast from RC cars to his ATVs to many, many vehicles that he worked-on or drove. His favorite indoor activities included Youtube, Netflix, watching football, and playing video games while feeding the dogs snacks behind Beth’s back. Throughout his life, Jason was a man who loved everyone he came into contact with—even if he had a hard time expressing it—whether it was through poker, ornery jokes, coaching, leading a room full of people, or just a connection that came about through chance. There was not a person that he came into contact with that was not affected or loved by his infectious laughter and pure heart. Jason was preceded in death by blue-eyed Bella 🐾 (dog). He is survived by his wife, his children, and his beloved dogs. Jason is also survived by his parents, Pamela (Pulley) Mathis and her husband, Joe, and Daniel Brand and his wife, Barb, his sister, Kelly Mathis, and his grandmother, Betty Pulley, as well as many other friends and family. We will have two different Celebrations of Life to honor Jason. The first one will be held on Sunday, February 28th, 2021, at Blaine Stone Lodge (5331 Weatherford Rd, Midlothian, TX 76065) in Midlothian, Texas. It will be a come and go from 1pm to 5pm. The second one will be held on Saturday, March 6th, 2021, at Claremore Conference Center (1400 W Country Club Rd, Claremore, OK 74017) in Claremore, Oklahoma. This will also be a come and go, and it will be from 1pm to 5pm. The family asks for guests to wear whatever they feel is comfortable and respectful to them. If visiting, masks will be required and worn properly. There will be hand sanitizer available around the room and single-use masks for anyone who might need one or want one. In lieu of flowers, the family would like cards, letters, or emails with cherished, funny, and/or important memories of Jason. With the memory, please include your name, your relationship to Jason, and possibly the timeframe of the memory. Please email memories to jasonbrand.memories@gmail.com or mail to the Brand family .
