Jason Lee Monette Monson

d. October 8, 2024

With heavy heart and great sadness, we are sorry to announce that, Jason Lee Monson, 47, of Redlands, California passed away at his home  in Burleson, TX on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.  Jason was born to  Jerry Lee Monson of Lubbock, TX and Judith Lynn Monette of Alhambra, CA on August 15, 1977.   Jason completed elementary through high school in California. He attended San Bernardino Valley college for music from 1995-1996 then switched paths to serve the U.S. Navy, honorably, from 1996-2001. Jason was stationed in San Diego, California, serving aboard The USS Constellation as an Airman where he became a Golden Shell Back. He earned the rank of ABF3, an Aviation Boatswain Mate (fuel handler), aiding in fueling and maintaining aircraft .  After this, he went to the University of Phoenix for business and marketing, where he soon joined Air Liquide/Air Gas which became his life for the next 20+ years. Jason was an avid worker in which his goals expanding into greatness and prosperity were highly evident. Jason’s many accomplishments are achieved mainly through determination and perseverance in reaching and exceeding his high standards. Jason’s work ethics portrayed his strong, loyal, highly independent, and dependent characteristics to his coworkers he can now call his friends and trusted circle. Jason presented himself as the individual to go to when things needed to be fixed because he knew he could do it. These characteristics allowed Jason to maintain his place worldwide as a reliable and trusted plant manager to Air Gas/Air Liquide in Cleburne, TX ASU & Paris, and TX VSA by showing his much-needed value to the company.   Throughout Jason’s lifetime he grew to love the ocean and everything it came with in California; surfing, scuba diving, swimming, and so much more. Upon making the big move to Texas he developed a passion for running, in which he ran almost every day which soon led to him running marathons. Jason loved nature and hiking and going on adventures even if small. He loved to travel and spending time with his kids was always made a priority. Jason also had a love for music, and was a talented musician who mastered the guitar early in his life, always inspiring his friends with music whether it was him playing his guitars alone or with friends and family, or listening to his favorite artists; music was his passion and was something he strove from. Every small detail in anything he played was paid thorough attention to. Jason had to get the tune right before giving up and he valued that within himself.   Jason was preceded in death by his mom, Judith Lynn Monette, and his dad, Jerry Lee Monson.   A proud loving father , Jason survived by his children, Tyler Reed Monson 23 of Fredericksburg, Virginia,  Livya Lea  Monson, 20 of Lake Charles, LA, Cali Danielle Monson, 17 of Lake Charles, LA,  his brother, Jerome Monson of Mesquite, Texas, aunt Chris and uncle Dan Appleton of California, aunt Juanita Monette of California, uncle Billy Sr. Monette of Tennessee, cousins  Billy Jr. Monette, Toni Bellatoni, Greg  & David  Guttero, Lura Madruga, Jim Shhuler, Natali Monette.   “Jason, a great Dad, friend, coworker, and person, will be greatly missed by all of those who got the chance to love and know him.”   A celebration of Jason’s life will be announced at a later date to come.
