Denton, TX – Jerry Lynn Bowen died peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with Kidney Disease, on November 23, 2024 in Carrollton. He was born on May 31, 1955 in Denton, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, a son and a step-daughter. Jerry is survived by his wife, Kimberly A Bowen, his children, Sherry Gassaway Phillips, Monisha Clark, Jerry Manuel, Cecsely Bowen, Christopher Pepper, his step-children, Andrew Tullao and Krystal White, his many grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many other family members and friends. Jerry and Kimberly were married in May 2000. They lived in Denton where they raised their blended family. Jerry was a City of Denton employee until his retirement in 2008. He loved to play sports and was a member on several softball teams while with the City of Denton. A balloon release celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at Lake Ray Roberts in Sanger, TX at a later date.
