Jillian Kate Owen, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away after a long and courageous battle with lupus. She was a bright light to all who knew her, and her strength, grace, and kindness will forever be remembered.
Kate’s love for learning was boundless. She found joy in the pages of books and wonder in the world of science, always curious, always seeking to understand. Her sharp mind was matched by her warm heart, and she touched the lives of many with her compassion and generosity.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alan Dale Owen, whose memory she cherished deeply. Kate is survived by her mother, Cathie Elise Puttcamp; her twin sister, Angela Danielle Owen; and her brother, Wyatt Morgan Hebbler. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now free from pain and reunited with her father in peace.
In lieu of flowers, Kate requested that donations be made in Kate’s memory to the Lupus Foundation of America, to help advance research and support others living with the disease.
