Joan Elliott

Joan Addie Elliott, 63 of Fort Worth, passed away on August 22, 2017. Joan was born January 25, 1954, in El Paso, Texas to James and Norma Jean Wilkins. Joan lived so much life in her 63 years. She was quite the world traveler visiting places like Scotland, France, New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska, and the Bahamas. She loved nature and being outdoors and was happiest in the mountains. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grand dogs. She was always the life of the party and loved nothing more than to have fun. Her laugh was contagious. Joan was very spiritual, often participating in meditations and yoga. She was an active member of both Unity Church of Fort Worth and Harmony Fellowship. Joan is survived by her daughters, Melissa Lancaster and Megan Mangum, and husband Michael; father, James Wilkins; brother, Jim Wilkins; sisters, Glenda Jones and Pam Villa; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and many very special friends. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually. There will be a celebration of life at Unity Church of Fort Worth on August 26, 2017 at 11:00 am.
