Joe Wilson Cleveland

Cleburne–Graveside services for Joe Wilson Cleveland, 87, of Cleburne will be held on Monday, August 25, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Cleburne Memorial Cemetery, Cleburne, under the direction of Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home, of Cleburne. Visitation will be from 1PM-4PM, Sunday, August 24, 2003, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home. Mr. Cleveland, a Cleburne native, was a retired home builder and construction superintendent and construction manager, spending most of his life in various management positions with the Robert E. McVee Construction Co., of El Paso and Dallas, Texas. At the time of his retirement, Mr. Cleveland was a construction manager for Reynolds Electric, a subsidiary of Robert E. McVee, at the Mercury Test Project near Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Cleveland was also a 32nd degree Mason having entered masonry at the age of 61 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Maurine Wakeland Cleveland, in 1985. He is survived by his wife, Laurene Prather Cleveland; two sons and one daughter; Joe W. Cleveland, Jr. and wife, Ann, of Duncanville, Eugene Cleveland and wife, Sonja of Mesquite and Sharon Nelson and husband, Jim, of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-son, Mike Prather and wife, Pam, of Cleburne; step-daughter, Diana Longenberger and husband, Rodney, of Irvine, California; four nieces, six nephews, eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made in Mr. Cleveland’s honor to a Charity of Choice or Gideon Bible Society.
