Joel Barona passed away January 18, 2021.The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St Joseph Catholic Church on February 12, 2021. Arlington TX 76017.He entered the world on the 2nd of March 1954 in Mexico City, Mexico. He was the son of Jaime Barona and Guillermina Vargas. In his teenage years Joel developed a great love for baseball, influenced by his paternal grandfather, which remained a great passion for the rest of his life and he accumulated a vast knowledge of the sport. Joel later became interested in classic cars with the same passion. Joel studied accounting at Universidad Nacional Autonoma of Mexico and spent a semester at Boulder Colorado University, USA. After graduation Joel worked for several companies in Mexico and the USA where he showed a great professional ability and leadership skills. He was loved by all people that had the fortune of knowing and working with him. He was a certified CPA in both countries. The biggest incentive in his life was his children Joel, Juan, Jose, Angelica and Jordan. He was a great role model because of his integrity, hard work, and his ability to always put the needs of others ahead of his own. Joel is survived by his best friend and beloved wife Marcela with whom he loved to travel and enjoyed her company to the very end. Joel is survived too by his sorrowing brothers, Jaime, Omar and Ivan and his sisters Marcela, Iliana and Yvonne all of whom he remained close to in his life. His grandchildren, Jojo, Julian, Arda and Jovan filled the latter part of his life with love and happiness. They were a great source of infinite pride and joy to him. Joel has left this Earth, but he will always be a warm light in the hearts and memories of all of us that were so lucky to have him in our lives, may he rest in peace.
