John Curtis Clark

John Curtis Clark, 73, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 at his home in Weatherford surrounded by his family, after battling leukemia for seven months. Service: The graveside service will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Covenant Care – Hospice, Brook’s Blossoms (distant relative battling neuroblastoma) or your local library, as he was an avid reader. John was born at All-Saints Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas on January 27, 1938 to Charles and Grace Zuch Clark.  John had two brothers, Charles and wife, Myra Clark of Lake Whitney, Texas and Joe and Corinne Clark of Springtown, Texas.  John also leaves behind a sister, Marilyn and husband, Leonard Lee of North Richland Hills, Texas. John was happily married to Dorothy Roden for 25 years.  They enjoyed going to garage sales, working at arts and crafts shows, trips to the casino, and being with family. John graduated Lake Worth High School in 1955 and attended Arlington State College from 1955-1956 for an industrial mechanical engineering certification.  He was hired on at Texas Electric in 1956, but was then called to active duty with the U.S. Navy for a two-year tour.  After being discharged, he continued at TXU for 35 years. John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed working on projects and repairing things. Survivors: John is survived by his wife, Dorothy Roden Clark, step-sons, Kenneth Kincaid and wife, Kim; John Kincaid and wife, Lori; and David Kincaid and wife, Courtney.  John also leaves behind five grandchildren, Bridgette, Chelsea, Hadley, Tanner and Emma. John is preceded in death by his son, James Edward, who passed due to complications with muscular dystrophy.
