FORT WORTH — John Paul Woodard, 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Everman. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Paul was born March 7, 1930, to Talma and Faye Woodard in Minter and was one of six children. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean War. Paul retired from Ken Davis Industries. He enjoyed his computer and researching geneology. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Patsy; children; son, Sam Woodard and wife, Vicki; daughters, Patti Watts and husband, Travis, and Gina Blenden and husband, Phil; brother, Dewey Woodard and wife, Alice; brother-in-law, Wayne Callaway and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, J.P. Woodard, Lauren Dereta, Brandon Blenden, Mary Watts, Jessica Rodriquez and Megan Watts; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companions.
