**John Zeke Williams**
**February 9, 1944 - October 11, 2026**

John Zeke Williams passed away early Sunday morning, October 11, 2026, after a long fight with cancer. He had known for years it was coming, and he never let it slow him down. He lived his life to the fullest, always chasing whatever came next.

John was born on February 9, 1944, in Walters, Oklahoma, and grew up calling Hobbs, New Mexico, home. He never stayed put for long and always had his eye on the next trip. Still, whenever his family or friends needed him, he was there to take care of them.

He is survived by his wife, Su, his children and grandchildren, and the many friends who felt like family.

A memorial will be held at his home, 4125 Marvin D. Love Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at noon. Flowers are welcome; he would have liked that.

Near the end, John told his family that everything was taken care of and that he had reached the goals he set for himself. As he said it, they could see a great weight lift from him. He went at peace, knowing his work was done. He will be missed, and he will be remembered as the one who was always there, ready to help or simply to listen. Wherever the road has taken him now, may he already be looking ahead to what comes next.
