Arlington, TX – Joseph A. Pinell III died peacefully after a long battle with dementia, on December 21, 2021 in Ft Worth. He was born November 28, 1948 in New Orleans, LA. Joe was characterized by a passionate character with a zest for life. He had many varied interests that gave him, his families and friends great delight. He loved riding bicycles and it would not be unusual for Joe to ride 50 to 100 miles on his bike every single day after work. Every July, you would find him glued to the TV watching the Tour de France. His passion for cooking was inspired by his accomplished Cajun grandfather who was a chef, Felix Simon, and Joe’s bread pudding recipe rivaled any dessert in any New Orleans’ fine dining establishment. His love for cooking was also exhibited in his great skills as a barbecue expert and he graciously shared his cooking with friends and family. His hobbies also included photography and after retiring as a branch manager at Orkin Pest Control, he was an official photographer at Disneyland and he gave many tourists joy as he captured their experiences in that magical theme park. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held in Santa Monica, California sometime in May – date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
