Crowley– Joseph (Joe) W.C. Daniels, 85, a Korean War Veteran, passed away Sunday March 1, 2015 at Crowley Nursing Center, Crowley, Texas. His best friend and loving wife Ann Daniels and his brother Al Daniels preceded him in death. Services will be held Friday March 6th at Mayfield-Kiser Funeral Home, Ft Worth, TX at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donating to The Alzheimer’s Association. Survivors include 3 sisters, Carol Canovan, Lily Sugden of Rochester, NY and Rev Dr June Hewitt of Raleigh, NC, 2 sons Doug (Joyce) of Kathleen, GA, Mike (Suzane) of Spicewood, TX, daughters Cathy Daniels (Joe) of Pflugerville, TX, Linda Daniels-Anderson (Brian) of Tijeras, NM, Susie Perryman (Ben) of Fort Worth, TX; 5 grandchildren Jennifer, Matthew, Jakob, Sarah, Zak and Austin; 3 great grandchildren Lance, Aiden and Leah. Joe and Ann were the owners of Walnut Springs Bakery in Seguin, Texas. During his time away from his baking profession, he enjoyed wood working, stained glass and photography projects. He was also an accomplished pool player and enjoyed challenging anyone to a game. To keep himself busy during his retirement years he loved making balloon figurines for patrons at Joe’s Crab Shack and enjoyed riding his motorcycle as often as he could. Joe was a hard working family man that loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
