BURLESON — Joseph Ray DenBleyker passed away at his home Monday, Feb. 15, 2010. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Interment: (private) Wednesday in Rough Creek Cemetery in Granbury; Memorials: in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Burleson First Baptist Church building fund. Click here to make an online memorial donation. Joe was born in Graafschap, Mich., in 1929, living most of his growing-up years in Holland, Mich. After graduating from Holland High School, he spent two years in the National Guard. Joe later spent three years in the Army Corps of Engineers in Korea and Japan during the Korean War. He met and married his wife, Lucille, while attending LeTourneau University in Longview. He graduated with a B.A. in mechanical engineering. He was employed for 28 years at the Clark Equipment Co. in Benton Harbor, Mich. After retirement, he and his wife moved back to Texas and settled in Burleson. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Gradus and Mayme DenBleyker, and sister, Rachel Slusher.
