October 4, 1951 — June 2, 2026

Fort Worth, Texas

Julia Allyne King, born on October 4, 1951, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to parents J.C. and Irene Williams, passed away peacefully at her home in Arlington, Texas, on June 2, 2026. She was 74 years old.

Julia lived a vibrant, love-filled life. She graduated from Diamond Hill High School in 1970 and held various positions in customer service throughout her life. Julia was a woman who loved to learn, work, and serve, always prioritizing people over material possessions. Her heart was as big as Texas, and she had been known to give her last dollar to someone in need.

In her later years, Julia found joy in gardening and traveling. Her adventurous spirit led her on memorable trips with her daughters and sister, Dawnyce. Julia's love for life was infectious, and she could light up a room with her energy and joy. She loved God, her family, and all people with unwavering dedication and passion.

Julia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Don King; her parents, J.C. and Irene Williams; her brother Dwight Williams; and her sister Dawnyce Thornton. She is survived by her brothers Bill "Willie" Williams and Ronnie and Tommy Simmons, daughters Beverlea and Brandon Wainwright, Karen Jones and Shaun McKee, Melissa and Larry Roberts, and April Meuse. Julia cherished her role as a grandmother to her grandchildren Dakota, Bailey, Connor, Jerome, Lachrisha, Carolyn, Lindsay, Phillip, Hallie, Abigail, Audrey, and Benjamin. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great-grandchild, Ozzy Wainwright, due in August 2026.

Julia centered her life around family, relishing the joy found in family reunions, Sunday dinners, holidays, and any occasion where she could be surrounded by her loved ones. Her greatest accomplishment was that of a Grandma, always ready to cook, play video games, splash in the water, watch movies, or take her grandchildren to the amusement park. She loved each one wholly and fiercely.

Julia's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00 am at Creekwood Church, 7701 Rendon Bloodworth Road, Mansfield, Texas 76063. In honor of her vibrant spirit and love for bright colors, attendees are encouraged to wear something bright and cheery. Known for her rainbow glasses, it would warm Julia's heart to see a rainbow of colors filling the room.

Julia Allyne King was a beacon of love and life, touching the hearts of those she met with her kindness and generosity. Her legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to live on in her family and those she has touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her but her spirit will continue to brighten our lives.
