Karen J. Marks

Fort Worth, TX – Karen J.Marks passed away peacefully on December 22, 2018 in Fort Worth. Karen was born on February 02, 1950 in Fort Worth, TX. Preceded in death by her husband, William D. Marks Sr.in 1996, her mother, Dorothy Bennett Hale McBride in 2000; Karen is survived by her Brother: Charles Hale of Fort Worth and Sister: Nancy Hale of Fredricksburg; 3 children; Misty Downing and husband Mark of Paradise, Windy Marks, and William D. Marks Jr.; her grandchildren: Paul “Bo” Marks, Rabecca and Zackary Downing, and John Douglas Marks and 2 great grandchildren. Karen will be missed by many other relatives, extended family and friends. Karen and Bill met in Fort Worth, married and decided to raise their in Fort Worth. After the children were in school, Karen worked for Smith Protective Services as a night Dispatcher Officer for over 20 years and retired once Bill passed. In retirement, Karen’s greatest pleasure was received when spending time with her family and loved ones. She loved to play cards and could be ruthless, all in fun!
