Katherine Mason Young

Dallas, TX – Katherine Mason Young died peacefully in her home on December 18, 2014 in Dallas after a long, full life and brief battle with cancer. She was born on February 13, 1933 and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, where she attended Leon High School. She graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Education, followed by a Master’s degree in Library Science. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother; and a dedicated gifted school teacher in Thomasville, Georgia for over 25 years. Katherine is survived by her daughter Leslie Young Lingle and son-in-law Jim Lingle of Carrollton, TX, and two grand-daughters: Katy Lingle and Payton Lingle.
