Kelli grew up in Smithville, Texas, enjoying many summers in Muldoon, Texas, visiting her great grandmother Ovie Blankenberg, and other extended family. Kelli attended Smithville High School. She worked in retail positions in Smithville and Bastrop, Texas, before being drawn to the home healthcare industry. Kelli moved to Austin in 2006, graduated from Virginia College in 2009 with a Certificate in Medical Billing/Medical Insurance, and worked with local firms. She returned to the home healthcare industry in 2012 and established her own company in 2014 to provide home health services. Kelli also provided administrative assistance to her husband’s law practice after they married in September of 2015. Kelli cherished her time visiting with friends and family and enjoying special events in their lives. Kelli also loved animals, especially the many chihuahuas that she owned throughout her adult years. However, Kelli was most proud of her children and sought to instill in them the knowledge of God, the gospel of salvation through Christ, and the importance of recognizing and acting to accomplish His Will in life’s circumstances. After meeting her husband in 2008 at Great Hills Baptist Church in Austin, Texas, the two of them became best friends and married in 2015. Kelli afforded Jack the great honor to adopt her youngest child, Summer, in 2016. Though Kelli was diagnosed with some health issues in 2016, she adapted by using her skills and gifts to make a wonderful home in which her family could thrive. Kelli is preceded in death by uncles, Richard Behrens and Alvin Lueders; aunts, Linda Behrens Melia and her husband Johnnie, and Marla Behrens; and grandparents, Elmer and Eleanor Behrens, and grandmother Lois Lueders.
