Kenneth Melvin Lawson Jr.

Kenneth Melvin Lawson Jr., affectionately known as Kenny or Slim, was born on October 16, 1963, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was raised in Burleson, Texas, the community he called home throughout his life.

Kenneth had a generous spirit and a heart that knew few limits. He was the kind of man who would give someone the shirt off his back without hesitation. He loved deeply and gave freely, though accepting that same love in return did not always come easily to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Melvin Lawson Sr. and Myldred Jane (Gilleland) Lawson.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Jennifer DeSalme, and her husband, Matt; his beloved granddaughter, Amelia; his siblings, Kim Baker, Kevin Lawson, Linda Orr, and Denise Adams; and many nieces and a nephew who will cherish his memory.

Kenneth's kindness, generosity, and the impact he made on those around him will not be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kenneth's memory to Recovery Resource Council, an organization that provides mental health services, substance-use treatment, and recovery support to individuals and families throughout North Texas.
