BURLESON — Kristy McMinn Werner left this world to join her Heavenly Father and her dad in Heaven on Saturday May 4, 2014. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Alsbury Baptist Church in Burleson. Interment: 2:30 P.M. Tuesday in Bellevue Cemetery in Bellevue. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Kristy was born on September 16, 1966 to Cecil and Janelle McMinn in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School and received her Masters degree in education from Midwestern State University. Kristy was a devoted mother to Hannah and Caleb, a wonderful daughter, sister and friend. Kristy touched many lives and hearts through Holy Cross Christian Academy while serving as the administrator over the past 8 years. She was a devout Christian and member of Alsbury Baptist Church. Kristy always put God, her children, family and her work first in her life. Kristy is preceded in death by her father, Cecil McMinn. She is survived by her children whom she was so proud of, Hannah and Caleb Werner; her loving mother, Janelle McMinn of Wichita Falls; 2 brothers, Rick McMinn and wife, Lori McMinn of the Woodlands and Greg McMinn and wife, Maria of Watauga and many extended family members and friends.
