ALVARADO — LaVerne Brooks Baumer, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Brooks was preceded in death by his father, James, and son, Wesley. Survivors: Wife, Faye; mother, Jean; two daughters; three sons; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
