Leigh William Cole, Sr.

ITASCA — Leigh William Cole Sr., passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in Fort Worth.  Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests donations in Mr. Cole’s name to the Emery J. Lilge Hospice House, 301 Medpark Circle, Burleson, Texas 76028.  Mr. Cole was currently employed by Amtrak Police as a detective. He retired after 30 years of service with the New Orleans, La., Police Department. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Survivors: Wife, Gail Cole; stepmother, Francis Cole; children, Kimberly Fisk, Scott Cole, Kim Williams, Michelle Lott, Amanda Cole and Leigh Cole Jr.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Pauline Stewart, Virgina Stevenson, Huey Norman, Jimmy Norman, Dorothy Williams and Denise Cole.
