BURLESON — Leslie “Les” Sells, 72, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Amercan Cancer Society, The American Heart Association or to the St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Leslie graduated from Alvarado High School in 1957 and attended UT-Arlington before enlisting. Leslie served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a Fort Worth fighter for eight years before going into the insurance business. Leslie was a State Farm agent for 28 years serving the Burleson area. He was past president of the Burleson Chamber of Commerce and coached Little League baseball and basketball. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Norma Sells and Jim and Ruby Peacock; brother, Ricky Sells; and one sister, Janet Jackson. Suvivors: wife of 45 years, Jan; son, Todd Hunter Sells; daughter, DeeLaina Riddle; sister, Vicki Verlyn Traweek and husband, Andy; grandsons, Jonathan Ryan Riddle and Hunter England Sells; granddaughters, Haley Ann and Hanna Marie Sells; two uncles; and several neices and nephews.
