Lewis Elvin Henderson

Lewis Elvin Henderson, 81, of Burleson, Texas passed away Friday September 12th, 2014. Lewis was born in Joshua, Texas on October 21, 1932, the son of the late Elmer Henderson and Bessie Branson Henderson.Lewis was retired from Bell Helicopter where he worked as an Electrical Assembler for 29 years. He was a member of Reece Prairie Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas. Lewis was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.Survivors include: Brother Roy Gene Henderson and wife Kim of Joshua, Texas and sister Mary Lee Logan of Fort Worth, Texas. Children: Gerald Henderson and wife Donna of Burleson, Kathy Brewer and husband Larry of Burleson, Paul Henderson and wife Lois of Burleson, Kelly Henderson and wife Stephanie of Burleson. He is survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Elwanda Henderson, his parents, brothers Leroy Henderson and Jim Henderson, Sister Mabel Henderson, Daughter Karen Henderson and Daughter –In-Law Marjorie Henderson Visitation will be Monday September 15th from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson, Texas. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson, Texas Tuesday September 16th at 10:30am. There will be a private interment at DFW National Cemetery.
