Linda Gail Engle

With a heavy heart comes the sad news that Linda Gail Engle, 79, of Mansfield,TX passed away peacefully in slumber at her home with her family on February 19th, 2026 due to complications of Parkinson's Disease.

Linda was born on March 15, 1946 in Kermit, TX to Herman Roy and Dovie Mae Slaughter.

Linda was very independent and lived a vibrant life with a wonderful sense of humor. She worked in healthcare as a nurse for more than 50 years. She loved helping others.

Linda was very creative and enjoyed arts and crafts as well as spending her time shopping and socializing with family and friends.

She loved animals and leaves behind her cat whom she was very attached to and which will miss her greatly.

Linda traveled a lot during her adult life moving from Kermit, TX to Temple, TX to North Carolina and back to Temple, TX to Troy, Texas eventually retiring in Mansfield.

Linda is survived by her children, Ladonna Reyna of Belton, TX, Tammie Delynn of Mansfield, TX and Bradley Hammond of Tulsa, OK. She raised her oldest granddaughter, Samantha Deanne of Meridian, TX. She has 10 additional grandchildren and 24 great grandkids.

Services will be held at a later date.

Linda will be missed by both family and her many friends.
