Linda Gayle Guffey Ivey

Linda G. Guffey Ivey died Sunday, July 31, 2016, from complications of heart failure and leukemia, surrounded by her loved ones. Linda grew up in the Texas panhandle, and moved to the DFW area in 1990. She eventually started a very successful business, retiring in February. The most important things to Linda were her family, her business, and her willingness to always root for the underdog.She was preceded in death by her parents, MF “Happy” Guffey and Willora Guffey and brother, Texas Ranger Stan Guffey. Linda is survived by sisters Brenda Perrin and Donna Curtis, children Toni Edwards (Mark), Gary Ivey (Erica), and Amy Henderson (Doug), five nephews, seven grandchildren – Josh (Amy), Jacob (Jessica), Jake, Kirsten, Tristan, Kevin, and Grayson, and one great-granddaughter Breanna, as well as her beloved rescue, Sam. A private Celebration of Life is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in Linda’s honor to the charity of your choice.
