Joshua– Funeral services for Linda Nell Hadley Barton, loving mother and dear friend whose home and heart was always open to everyone, of Joshua will be held on Friday, May 14, 2004, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, of Cleburne, with Pastor Allen Kyle officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Nestor Mondragon, Oscar Mondragon, Scottie Sanders, Tommy Sanders, Jack Sanders and Kenneth Miser. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield in Cleburne. Linda Nell Barton, a homemaker, passed away peacefully at her residence, on Tuesday, May 11, 2004. She was born March 28, 1948, in Cleburne, Texas, the daughter of Jimmy Hadley and Avonell Swiney Hadley. She married Kenneth Barton, November 28, 1982. He preceded her in death March 28, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Avonell Hampton, in 1985, and one brother, Bo Hadley. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Cleburne. Mrs. Barton is survived by one sister, Kay Duddington, of Cleburne, Texas; daughters, Cindy Pope and husband, Michael, of Savoy, Texas; Melinda Miser and husband, Blake; Stacy Shelby and husband, Russell and Brandy Cryer, all of Joshua, Texas; son, Alton Cryer, Jr. of Joshua; grandchildren, Justin, Michael and Kenneth Pope, Kevin Klopner, Kendra Shelby, Dusty and Maralinda Miser and one great-grandchild, Justin Pope, Jr. The family of Mrs. Barton wishes to extend special thanks to Dr, Carlos Japas and the Staff of American Hospice. “These people will always be endeared in our hearts.”
