Loyd Wesley (Wes) Wright, 84, passed away on July 6, 2026, in Fort Worth, TX. Born on April 3, 1942. He was known for his lively spirit and humor, making him a beloved figure among his friends and family.
Wes attended Arlington High School and shortly after graduation, he served in the Air Force for two years, where he dedicated himself with distinction.He later resided in Mimbres, New Mexico where he embraced the culture and loved playing cowboy.Wes' vivacious and fun-loving nature will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. He had a knack for bringing laughter and joy to any gathering, earning him the affectionate title of the joker.He is survived by his sister, Linda Crowder; his brother Carl Brock, his daughter, Holly Scott; his son, Daniel Wright; and his grandchildren, Alex Koch, Caitlin Koch, and Taylor Koch, along with two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Wes was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Benny Edward Wright.A short service will be held on August 4, 2026 at 10:00 at the DFW Veterans National Cemetery where his remains will be placed.In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Wes can be made to the American Cancer Society. This gesture will honor his legacy by supporting a cause that strives to bring hope and healing to many.
