Macayla Beth Lohmann

Dallas, TX — Macayla Beth Lohmann, 71, resident of Hollywood Santa Monica neighborhood passed away Friday, November 3rd 2023. Macayla, daughter of Joan Elizabeth Humphrey and John Peter Lohmann was the eldest sister to her four brothers Jeffrey G. Lohmann, Martin J. Lohmann, Matthew S. Lohmann, and Jay C. Lohmann. Macayla was also a proud aunt to her four nieces and three nephews. She was a beautiful, sassy, and bright human that cared for so many with a fun, maternal, sweet & funky love. She was a outstanding poem writer, ginger snap baker, pet-sitter, garden tender, and mess maker. Macayla was very resourceful and creative. She embodied the artistic spirit in her love for dance, her eclectic taste in music ranging from Janis Joplin to Adele, and her ability to craft impressively elegant and delicious cakes. A brilliant mind and avid reader meant she usually knew the answers to questions. New York Times cross word puzzles were boldly completed in pen, preferably roller ball. No matter the circumstances, she stood firm in her authenticity and approached life’s challenges with a contagious sense of humor. She gave straight from her heart. We love and miss her dearly, but we carry her memories and laughs in our hearts. A memorial will be scheduled for a date in Spring of 2024. Cremation arrangements by Lone Star Cremation.
