Marilyn Francis Masden

Dallas– Marilyn Francis Masden of Dallas, Texas died peacefully in her sleep on May 23, 2014 at The Rehabilitation and Wellness Centre of Dallas. She was born December 28, 1939 in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth H. Masden and her mother, Marietta J. Flynn. She was a 1957 graduate of Providence Central High School and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She was a gifted and talented artist but above all cherished her children and grandchildren. She is survived by three children; John Spicer and his wife Letty, Dallas, TX; Michelle Oles and her husband Chris of Keller, TX; Greg Spicer and his wife Annette, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; brother, K. Martin Masden and his wife Ann of Alexandria, LA. She is survived by eleven grandchildren, Cash Spicer, Wyatt Spicer, Gigi Spicer, all of Dallas, TX; Madeline Oles, Michael Oles and Catherine Oles all of Keller, TX; Elizabeth Spicer, Laura Spicer, Benjamin Spicer, Nicholas Spicer and step-granddaughter, Elaine Rider, all of Lake Charles, LA. To honor her memory, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society, at cancer.org, in her name.
