Cleburne–Mark “Spider” Crabtree Jr. 83, of Cleburne, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2004 at his residence in Cleburne. Funeral services for Mr. Crabtree will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, Cleburne. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park, Cleburne. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-8 PM at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield. Mark “Spider” Crabtree Jr. a retired machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad, was born September 11, 1920, in Stephens County, Texas, the son of Mark and Addie Mae (Cleveland) Crabtree. He married Pearl Martin, August 14, 1940, in Graham, Texas. He was a fifty year pin Mason and a member of the Elks Lodge since 1973. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Mr. Crabtree is survived by his wife of sixty- three years, Pearl Crabtree, of Cleburne; daughter, Geneva Manning and husband, Dalton, of Cleburne and son, Johnny Raymond Crabtree, also of Cleburne; one sister, Helen Givens, of Cisco, Texas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
