FORT WORTH — Martin Albert Henry, 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, surrounded by his wife of 48 years, Wyvonne, and other family and friends.        Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home Chapel.        Marty was born in July 1944 in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Rose Martin and Eugene Henry and raised in Pascagoula, Miss. He attended Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic School in Biloxi, Miss., Carver High School in Pascagoula, and graduated from the University of Nebraska.        He served in the U.S. Air Force as a medic in Germany, and Vietnam in 1969. In 1975, he was selected for the Air Force Officer Candidate School and the Physician’s Assistant Program. He served in that capacity at Carswell AFB and Keesler AFB until his retirement as a captain. He continued his career and retired as a physician’s assistant from the Veterans Affairs Clinic in Fort Worth.        An avid hunter and fisherman and a fantastic cook, nothing was more important to Marty than family and friends. He spent his later years travelling around the country visiting family and friends. Those who knew him will miss his joyous spirit, mischievous grin, and his love for the simplest things in life.        Survivors: His loving wife and best friend, Von; sisters, Mattie Jackson and Dot Harvey; daughters, Jennifer Johnson, Marguerite Mayfield, Tracy Wilson and Halima Shaw; and his son, Dean Jason Henry.
