Mary Alice Chandler , age 78, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Sunday January 25, 2026. She was born on November 10, 1947, in Raymondville , Texas to Guadalupe and Juanita Salinas. She graduated from Raymondville High School, where she played basketball and softball.
She married Randy Chandler in 1982 and they spent 44 happy and loving years together.
For 39 years, Alice was an expert professional, working in the engineering department at Dallas Power & Light/Oncor, where she retired in 2018.
Alice had a several hobbies and leisure time interests over the years including an avid reader, antiquing, cooking, collecting cook books, and her Catrina figures.
She also loved to travel and experience new places, living life to the fullest and always cherishing her beloved family.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents: Juanita and Guadalupe Salinas, and her brother Lupe Salinas.
Alice is survived by her husband Randolph “Randy” Chandler, children: son, Michael Garza and wife Brittany; daughter, Denise Burton and husband Jim; son, Neal Chandler, and wife Cyndi; son John Salinas, and wife Cheryl.
Four grandchildren, Nicholas, Kayley, Romello and Madelyn. Her sister: Mary Jane Salinas, and brother Jose Salinas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Ruthe Jackson Center
