Matthew Laird Stevens

Matthew Laird Stevens, born on September 20, 1971 in New Orleans, LA to Mack Yates and Sandra Lee Peck Stevens, died on December 17, 2015 in Dallas, TX. His mother preceded him in death in 2009. Matthew was a Methodist, being baptized as a member of the United Methodist Church in Gretna, LA and was a graduate of West Jefferson High School in Harvey, LA. He is survived by his dad, Mack Yates Stevens, along with sisters Amanda Lee Stevens Suter and Samantha Rachael Stevens and brother Joshua Cole Stevens: brother-in-law Brian Suter: nieces Samantha Lee Suter and Caroline Elise Suter: nephew Zachary Brian Suter: uncle Paul C. Peck, Jr and wife Lisa Willis Peck: uncle George W. Stevens: aunt Danna Camille Stevens Forrest and family: cousins Allison Lee Peck and Katherine Lauren Peck: great uncle Edward Cole: dear friend Diana Mendoza and her children Jesús and Ivana. Private inurnment services for Matthew will be held at a later date. His ashes will be placed at his mother’s gravesite in Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport, LA.
