It is with deep love and gratitude that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Melinda Lou Staud, 85, of Fort Worth, Texas. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 12, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1939, in McAllen, Texas, to Jack and Thora Hodgson.
Melinda was a woman of strong and steadfast faith, whose life reflected her love for Jesus and for her family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will carry on through the generations.
Gifted with a creative spirit, she used her talents to bless generously many people, always finding ways to share beauty, encouragement, and joy with others. She loved sewing & monograming special gifts.
She will be remembered for her gentle heart, her warm smile, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Whether through a comforting word, a prayer, beautifully created gifts, or the simple joy of her presence. She loved her three children & gave her whole life to love them well!
A private service for her family will be held at St Matthias Anglican church in Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Volunteers For Christ http://www.vfcbrazil.org/ in her memory.
Though we will miss her dearly, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and resting in the arms of her Savior.
