Michael Wishart Page passed away on Friday, March 13th in Fort Worth, Texas, following a sudden illness. He was surrounded by his entire family.

Michael was born on January 29, 1950, in Murray, Utah, to Wishart Woodruff Page and Ermon (Eames) Page. He grew up in Sandy and Salt Lake City, Utah, and later lived in Meridian, Idaho.

While serving in the United States Marine Corps, Michael met his wife while stationed at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India. The two were married in Niagara Falls before moving to North Carolina, where he was stationed at Camp Lejeune.

After leaving the Marines, Michael began working for Piedmont Airlines in Jacksonville, North Carolina. In 1979, he moved his wife and two daughters to North Richland Hills, Texas, where he began a long career at DFW Airport. He retired from US Airways after 40 years in the airline industry.

Michael enjoyed traveling and photography. He had an interest in lifelong learning and went back to school at TCC. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing rummy, listening to NPR and Texas Rangers baseball. He loved spending time with his family most. Being “Grandpa” was his greatest joy.

He is survived by his first wife Loretta Schmenk, mother of his daughters Lara Lautzenheiser (Steve) and Tami Lewellen. He has six adoring grandchildren Colt, Anabell, Claire, Colin, Avery, and London; and one great-grandchild, Barrett. He is also survived by his siblings Linda, Rod (Jackie), George, and Debbie (Dean). He will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Wishart and Ermon Page.
