Nancy Ann Leblanc

Beloved daughter, sister & friend Nancy Ann LeBlanc passed away in her Hurst, TX, home Saturday, July 19, 2014. Born June 8, 1961, in Morgan City, LA, to Barbara Ann Martin LeBlanc and Edward Ronald LeBlanc, Nancy was one of six children. As a young girl, Nancy excelled in academics, beauty pageants, vocal and instrumental music, volleyball and cheerleading. She completed her education and earned her cosmetology license in Pearland, TX. A talented cosmetologist, Nancy owned and operated her own hair salons, SNIPS and Be You!, for several years, serving clients in Pearland, TX, and Grapevine, TX. She developed a special passion for providing hair replacement services for men, women and children undergoing medical treatments or suffering illness that caused hair loss. Supporting such clients and helping them look their best gave Nancy tremendous satisfaction. In her leisure time, Nancy enjoyed being outdoors swimming, water skiing, hiking and walking. An avid animal lover and advocate, Nancy supported the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and lovingly adopted numerous animals throughout her life, including raccoons, cats, dogs and birds. Nancy was a devoted Christian who found great comfort and inspiration through her faith. She blessed others with her kindness, enthusiasm, prayers and the sense of joy she took in small things. Nancy was preceded in death by her brother Stephen Claude LeBlanc, Sarasota, FL. She is survived by her mother of Alabama; her father and his wife, Martha LeBlanc, of Florida; brother David LeBlanc and his wife Diane, of Hayes, VA; sister in law Leslie Blair LeBlanc, Sarasota, FL; sisters Laura LeBlanc, of Dickinson, TX, Dianne LeBlanc, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Yvonne LeBlanc Maloan and her husband Michael, of Norman, OK; and nieces and nephews Nathan, Talitha, Christopher, Jessica, Andre, Renee, Thomas, Katie and Caroline. She also is survived by her loving canine companion Yoda, and many caring friends and neighbors. So loving and accepting was Nancy that it was typical for her to say in parting, “God bless you, and just be you!”
