Dr. Nola Christine Curry, PharmD

October 5, 1980 — May 5, 2025

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Nola Curry, PharmD, who departed this life on May 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by the love of her family and friends, Nola leaves behind an enduring legacy of kindness, strength, and an unwavering devotion to those she cherished.

Nola embraced life with a joyful spirit, finding a unique vibrancy in music. It was more than a mere pastime for her; it was the soundtrack of her journey through life, filling her days with rhythm and meaning. Her eclectic taste in music became a cherished bond she passed on to her children, who will forever associate special songs with their beloved mother. Time spent with family was Nola’s greatest treasure, as laughter and playful banter—especially during Dallas Cowboys game days—filled their home with warmth and joy, creating memories that will be held close to their hearts.

A dedicated nurse for many years, Nola followed her passion for healing by earning her PharmD at the University of North Texas. She skillfully balanced her studies and career with the responsibilities and joys of raising her family. Her compassionate nature and expertise impacted countless lives, from her professional endeavors to the quiet moments of selflessness that characterized her everyday life.

Nola was the adored wife of Carlos and a devoted mother to Natalia, Ethan, and Marley Curry. She eagerly awaited the arrival of her grandson, whose life will forever carry a piece of her spirit. Nola is survived by her loving Mother: Maria Zozaya; Father: Anthony Jamison; Stepmother: Susan Jamison; Grandmother: Paula Saavedra; Grandfather: Manuel Saavedra; Sisters: Paula and Alexandra Jamison; Aunts: Sandra Jamison, Sylvia Price, Martha Zozaya, and Leticia Buffaloe; Uncles: David Zozaya, David Jamison, Stacy Price and Larry Buffaloe; Mother-in-law: Mavis Butterfield; Sisters-in-law: Carla Rolle, Antillia, Alistair, and Alexis Curry, Anastasia Williams, Adriana Roberts, Sonia Rowe, and Dianna Mahadeo, Janis and Kimily Curry; Brothers-in-law: Michael and Meredith Curry, Brian Hunter, Wellington Rolle, Gary Williams Sr., Jeffrey Roberts, Leonard Rowe, Reynolds Mahadeo, Alexis Dean, and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention. She is preceded in death by Uncle: Catalino “Cat” Zozaya (1990); Father-in-law: Peter Curry (2012); Grandmother: Nola Jamison (2017); Grandfather: Leo Jamison (2020); Brother-in-law: Marko Curry (2023); and Step-mother-in-law: Patricia Curry (2023), who will greet her with open arms.

Her fur babies, Bruno, Chi-Chi Mimi, and Bailey, brought her constant companionship and joy, ever-present by her side. Nola’s vibrant spirit, warm smile, humor, and boundless generosity will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family apologizes for any omission of relatives and friends. Please bear with us as we go through this most difficult time.

Although our hearts ache with the loss of Nola, we find solace in knowing her legacy lives on through her children, her soon-to-arrive grandson, and all the lives she touched. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at North Dallas Community Fellowship, 501 Accent Drive, Plano, TX 75075. In honoring Nola’s wishes, the family invites attendees to wear colorful attire instead of traditional black, as her favorite color was blue.

Rest in peace, Nola. Your love and light will forever shine on in our hearts.
