| Obituary for Norman Lee Wooden Jr 1958-2026 Norman Lee Wooden of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on June 5th, 2026 leaving behind family and friends and great memories. Norman was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Norman Lee Wooden Sr and Diane Kegley. He obtained his high school GED and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1975 and was stationed at Carswell Air Force base in Fort Worth Texas as a Vehicle Operations Dispatcher and later became a Security Specialist. He was awarded the Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon and Air Force Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on May 31, 1981. After Normans tour of Duty, he returned to the Dallas Fort Worth Area, married, had children and worked as a Truck Driver for Chaney, in Production Control at Siemens in Arlington and at Sanmina in Plano, Texas. Norman's favorite hobbies included fishing, following Dale Earnhardt and attending NASCAR races, building computers, playing video games, and cooking barbeque brisket and ribs. Norman is survived by his brother Scott Wooden and his wife Shelly Shipman Wooden and sister Sheri Robaldo Wooden. Norman is also survived by his sons, Lee Wooden and his wife Michelle Wooden, Ryan Wooden and his wife Shelby Wooden, Eric Buchanan and his wife Kelli Buchanan. Norman is survived by his grandson Ty Wooden and his wife Vanessa Wooden, and granddaughters Sidney Buchanan, Nora Buchanan, and Abigail Wooden. He is preceded in death by his father Norman Lee Wooden Sr, his mother Diane Kegley Wooden Robaldo, and stepfather Roy Robaldo. Norman will be remembered for his jokes, his barbeque, his kind heart and his numerous pets he rescued over the years. Interment is at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211 on August 17 at 10:15 am. |
