CROWLEY — Pastor Donald Ellison, 60, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014. Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mahanaim Christian Fellowship, 5500 Stewart Feltz Rd., Crowley. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mayfield Kiser Chapel. Donald Ellison, 60, of Fort Worth, Texas died Aug 13, 2014. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, the only son of Annie-Mae Ellison. He was educated in the Philadelphia public schools and later attended Wayland Baptist University where he earned his B.S in Occupational Education. In 1996, he graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages. Donald was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Theology by the Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College. After 20 years of service in the United States Air Force, he retired having obtained the rank of an E-7 Master Sergeant. He continued his acts of service in another way as he then founded Mahanaim Christian Fellowship where he also served as the Sr. Pastor for nearly two decades. During his tenure as Pastor, he also worked for the City of Grapevine as a Sr. Plans Examiner Supervisor. He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Man Hui Ellison, his daughter Shannon, his eldest son Matthew along with his wife Samantha and their children, Jedidiah, Naomi-Hope, Zoe-Love, and Khloe-Faith. He also leaves his youngest son Moses Ellison and his wife Gloria. As one of three children, Donald is also survived by his two sisters Linda and Ruth Ellison. Ruth has two daughters, Robin Duboise and Adama Green. He leaves many other uncles, aunts, and cousins. The wake will be held at the Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home on Monday Aug. 18, 2014. A home going service will be held the following day on Tuesday Aug. 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Mahanaim Christian Fellowship – 5500 Stewart-Feltz Rd. Crowley, TX 76036. Arrangements are being handled by the Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home of Burleson, TX.
