Fort Worth – Ralph Joseph Moore loving husband, father, grandpa and brother passed away July 27, 2014. Ralph was born April 24, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas to Edward and Ruth Moore. He was raised in Fort Worth with his brothers Pat, Ed, Sydney, Donald and sister Ruth. After attending Arlington State College for a short period, Ralph joined the Army and served in The Korean War. Shortly after coming home from war, Ralph met and married Nannette (Nancy) Sherrill November 15, 1955. They raised 7 children, Thomas, Brian, Paula, Pam, Tricia, Beth and Bobby, until Nancy’s unexpected death in 1976. Ralph then met and married Frances Pearce, his wife of 38 years. Frances’s children from a previous marriage are Larry, Lonnie, Linda, Susan and Lisa. Ralph was a book keeper by trade and always enjoyed the challenges of his job. He also enjoyed his hobbies of reading, running and working on small engines. While a member at Hallmark Baptist Church for over 40 years, Ralph served the Lord in many different ways. He served as a member of the Deacons and Trustees Board, on the visitation team, as a Sunday school teacher, he sang in the choir, he maintained the church lawn equipment, assisted in maintaining the church landscape, served on multiple small construction projects, and he served as an AWANA counselor. His true passion was to serve the Lord and this is the legacy he leaves his family and friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edward and Ruth Moore, first wife Nancy Moore, and brothers Pat, Ed, Sydney and Donald. Survivors: Wife, Frances Moore; sons, Thomas Moore (Brenda), Brian Moore (Kem) and Bobby Moore (Christy); daughters, Paula Phillips (Eddie), Pam Christian (Thomas), Patricia Christ (James) and Beth Foster (Bryan); stepsons, Larry Beck (Kathy) and Lonnie Beck; stepdaughters, Linda Logans, Susan Redding (David) and Lisa Bush; sister, Ruth Moore; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral: 10 a.m.. Thursday at Hallmark Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson.
