Retha Ann Nance

Retha Ann Nance passed away May 25, 2025 at Mineral Wells, Texas after a long battle with COPD. Retha was born Dec. 13, 1951 to James and GeNell Carpenter.
Retha lived a full and happy life. She loved God, her family and friends. Retha loved to play music, travel and collect jewelry and antiques. She was a great cook but her bisquits were BAD, like hockey pucks. Retha was preceded in death by parents James and GeNell Carpenter, husband Harry Nance, grandchild Kendall Leigh Simmons and brother Ronald Carpenter.
Retha is survived by a son James Simmons (wife Lori) sister Reba Lawrence (husband Randy), brothers Rodney Carpenter and Randall Carpenter (wife Cori), niece Jennifer Jennings, son Jonathan Jennings (wife Carissa), children Amaya, Alaia, and Jaxon,  Jr. Miller and Emily Miller and niece Kim Anderson (husband Tony) and daughters Ashlee and Allyson.
Celebration of Life will be June 14, 10:00 AM at Church by the Lake, 1460 FM 3137, Lone Camp, Texas 76484 with internment at New Hope Cemetary.  Dinner and fellowship will be at SmokeStack Restaurant. Exit 367, Mingus, Texas following the service. Donations can be mailed to Church by the Lake Mission, 1460 FM 3137, Palo Pinto, Texas 76484.
Retha is now celebrating in Heaven with loved ones.
