Richard Wayne Hart

Richard Wayne Hart, 56, of Watauga, Texas went to fish with Jesus on August 4th, 2014. Richard was born in De Kalb, Mississippi. The son of John Wayne and Opal Laure Hart. He was the middle of 3 children. Richard graduated from the police academy in 1982 and served 21 years as a peace officer for the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department, City of Southlake DPS, and the Tarrant County Constable’s Office. He was an avid fisherman, master of the grill and had a passion for collecting firearms and knives. Richard was selfless when it came to his two wonderful children Jessica and Justin, always making them his top priority. Richard is survived by his daughter Jessica Hart, his son and daughter in-law Justin and Jenny Hart, his grandchildren Carter and Sophia Hart, his father and mother John and Opal Hart, his two sisters Donna Goodman and Cathy Brumback, Arthur and Lisa Cox and many other friends and family. An honors memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th, 2014 at 9:30am at the Southlake Baptist Church, 1101 N. Carroll Ave., Southlake, Texas 76092.
