Robert Joseph Hopps

Robert Joseph “Bobby Joe” Hopps, 57, of Cleburne, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Huguley Hospital in Burleson, Texas. Bobby was born July 25, 1968, in Cleburne, Texas, to Nelda Easley and Joe Hopps.

A true jack-of-all-trades, he enjoyed carpentry, mechanics, ranch work, and building birdhouses with his dad. He took great pride in his family, and his various collections, and approached every project with skill and determination.

He is survived by his parents, his sons, Oscar Dale Hopps of Anchorage, Alaska, and Connor Hopps of Cleburne, Texas; his daughter, Sabrina Hopps Baeza of Rio Vista, Texas; five grandchildren; and many cousins and friends who will cherish his generous heart and unique spirit.

Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar and Edna Easley; his aunt, Patricia Peters; and his uncles, Wayne and Warren Easley.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
